It couldn’t have gone better for Vancouver and me this weekend. Once again he showed his outstanding quality and enabled me to reach the third place. A horse equipped with a top attitude, a lot of ability and great intelligence.
After Vancouver already showed a great performance on Friday in the LONGINES GRAND PRIX of BASEL, and we took the 10th place, there was no sign of tiredness on Sunday at the World Cup. On the warm-up arena I could already feel how much power and motivation is still in this horse. Vancouver presented himself highly concentrated, fresh and full of energy. The first round felt like a piece of cake – although it certainly wasn’t. In the jump-off I decided not to take the last risk and was still rewarded with the 3rd place on the podium.
I am also very happy with the performance of Christina and Casallino. Both horses could place in Basel in classes over 1.45m. Christina on rank 10 and Casallino on rank 4.
