Young horses gain experience in Leipzig

(18.1.2015) Gaining experience with four young horses had priority for Pius Schwizer at the World Cup event in Leipzig. Electric Z, the seven year old mare from Zangersheide, was in action in the Youngster Tour. She had a fine clear round (3rd place) and showed two other good rounds with just one fault. „She did a great job here, and so did Giovanni vh Scheefkasteel“, Pius Schwizer said. The nine year old Belgian stallion, a beautiful dark chestnut from Darco, had to good rounds at level 145cm and 150 cm. Sibell du Gisors was not at ease in Leipzig. „She was tense here permanently, and did not wind down.“ Finally the French mare had a nice clear round in Saturday’s table C, smoothly ridden by Pius Schwizer. Carolina 27 was in action in the opening class, where she had a good round with four points. In the Six Barres she reached the first jump-off where she had the last fence down (8th place). The ten year old Hanoverian mare is owned by Dietmar Meyer and will go back to Germany on Monday. – Next weekend Pius Schwizer will ride at the Mercedes CSI in Zurich. His top horse Toulago will make his comeback after a several months’ break. Furthermore he plans to ride his cracks Armani the Gun CH and Anisette de Lassus.
