(5.7.2015) Pius Schwizer competed with two youngish horses at the Global Champions Tour in Paris. For the first time he rode his new horse Askaria 3. The nine year old Brandenburg chestnut mare proved a promise for the future. In the 145cm Two Phases the new couple was clear and took a fine 10th place. In the Six Bar the mare impressed with a great 2nd place, showing commitment and scope: Only in the fourth jump-off the last pole fell. Her first start in a 160cm Grand Prix then came a bit too early. – With Clever PKZ, his girlfriend’s best horse, Pius Schwizer enjoyed a great round in the 150cm class on Saturday, unfortunately they had one slight mistake and took 14th place. Considering the horses’ lack of experience at this level he decided not to compete in the Masters on Sunday: „The horses now will be built-up in smaller courses. The fact that I am not allowed to ride the top cracks of Quinoa Stables has destroyed my plan. And I have to make the best of this unpleasant situation. But this shall not and will not happen at the cost of my good young horses!”
