(26.11.2017) At the end of the second week in Vermezzo Pius Schwizer and Balou Rubin just narrowly missed out on the Grand Prix win. They had the fastest time in the decisive second round, but one pole down meant a good sixth place. It was German rider Hans-Dieter Dreher on Tiopepe des Champs who grabbed the win. Nevertheless Pius Schwizer can look back on an especially successful Sunday: He won the Accumulator with Tina de l’Yserand and also took second place with Chellatus R, a horse that he rode in competition for the first time after a long break. A fine fifth place with Balou Rubin R in the 145 cm world ranking class on Saturday completed his list of good placings. “All our horses did a good job”, Pius Schwizer said. “But this show just was a disaster. Compared to last week’s show it was like day and night. Unbelievable what a difference one star less can make!”
