(11.1.2015) The Swiss riders again hoped in vain for a big win at the five star show in Basel. It was Brazilian Luciana Diniz (riding under Portuguese flag) who took the Grand Prix win with brilliant rounds on her mare Fit for Fun. At the season opener Pius Schwizer counted on Armani the Gun CH. The dark bay gelding jumped well all his three rounds in Basel, but unfortunately had one mistake twice and two faults in the Grand Prix. „Even it was not good enough for a top placing, I am very pleased with Armani. We are still a new combination and have to work on our fine tuning“, Pius Schwizer said. Great pleasure gave him the nine year old Anisette de Lassus. In the saddle of the chestnut mare he took two fine classifications: An 8th and a 10th place in the 145cm classes. „She had a break since the end of October and went just super in Basel!“ Rafale des Forêts did underachieve in the St. Jakobshalle, and after their misunderstanding in Friday’s round Pius Schwizer did not compete her again. Now it’s all about building up confidence again at home. – Next show will be the World Cup Qualifier in Leipzig (Germany). Pius Schwizer has planned to ride the horses Sibell du Gisors, Giovanni vh Scheefkasteel, Carolina 27 and seven year old Electric Z in the Youngster Tour.
