(10.9.2017)  Pius Schwizer enjoyed some great results at CSIO Calgary. Riding Leonard de la Ferme CH he stayed clear twice in Friday’s 160 cm main competition and took third place. Furthermore the eleven year old Swiss Warmblood gelding was eighth in a 150 cm class. And the just nine years old Zangersheide mare Chidame Z was also able to shine. She was placed fourth in a 150 cm competition with jump-off. In her very first Nations Cup, when Switzerland had to make do with seventh place, she finished with thirteen points and could learn a lot. As everyone knows the huge grass arena with its special atmosphere has its own laws. „It was a good experience for Chidame, she is developping very well“, Pius Schwizer said. – In the million dollar Grand Prix (170 cm!) his partner was Leonard de la Ferme CH and they had two fences down. “He did very well in this difficult course with the impressively high jumps. Leo has a super attitude and is always fighting for me.“ The lucky winner was German rider Philipp Weishaupt with the grey stallion L.B. Convall.
