CSI-W Stuttgart: The good work did not pay off

(22.11.2015) Pius Schwizer had a rather unlucky time at the World Cup show in Stuttgart. With Chap 47 he was fifth in the Accumulator with two jokers and with Giovanni van het Scheefkasteel he took eleventh place in the opening class. In the World Cup qualifier he and Giovanni enjoyed a perfect two third of the course, but then had a mistake at the first fence of the double combination in the last line. „I changed the distance from four to five strides what seemed to confuse the stallion. As the concentration was disturbed after this, we had another mistake at the final oxer. It’s a pity, because Giovanni did jump really super. Still he needs more experience“, Pius Schwizer said. This also goes for Leonard de la Ferme CH, who is nine years of age too. The bay gelding showed three beautiful rounds, but twice had to accept one fault. „He is a super horse, and he also needs some more routine.“ – Next week Pius Schwizer will compete with young and new horses in the two star show in Manerbio, Italy.
