(7.8.2016) Pius Schwizer enjoyed a successful show in San Giovanni. On Leonard de la Ferme CH he won the Grand Prix. The jump-off with 15 riders was exciting and being the last to go he was 0.28 seconds faster than previous leader Marie Hécart with Myself de Breve. Precise turns and Leonard’s great canter made the difference. „Leonard is in top form, on Friday we already took third place in the World Ranking class. I could also ride him during the prize-giving ceremony, which is good. He is learning better and better how to cope with this situation too.“ With Askaria 3 Pius Schwizer achieved another victory in a 140 cm class. „The chestnut mare is in very good form. And Lester IX – who I rate very highly – also jumped super.“ Lester IX took one fourth and one sixth place at level 140 cm. Pius Schwizer also uses the show in San Giovanni to build-up young horses such as Chidame Z, Electric Z, Carressa Z and Dior van de Lucashoeve. Next Thursday the show will recommence.
