(20.9.2015) Pius Schwizer and Giovanni van het Scheefkasteel took a fine 8th place in Vienna’s Global Champions Tour Grand Prix. After a fast ride with four points they produced a smooth clear round. The ambiance on the Rathausplatz was spectacular and the conditions with floodlights and rain were very demanding. Schwizer’s nine year old Belgian stallion stayed focused and jumped great. „Giovanni is on his way of becoming an outstanding top horse, just as I have predicted!“ a happy Pius Schwizer said. The win went to Luciana Diniz and her grey stallion Winningmood. Vienna was the second last leg of this year’s Global Champions Tour. The big final will be held in Doha (Qatar) from 12th till 14th November. In the actual ranking Pius Schwizer is in ninth position. – In Vienna he was also successful with his new horse, the eleven year old Oldenburg chestnut stallion Chap 47. On Sunday the new combination took fourth place in the 155cm Grand Prix. The days before they had done two good rounds with just one fault. „Chap had strong results with his owner Heiko Schmidt. I am happy to be the new rider of this very good horse.”
