Three top placings at the Hong Kong Masters

(21.2.2016) The five star show in Hong Kong was the third and last leg of the attractive Longines Masters Series. Pius Schwizer rode in great form and achieved three very good results in the top-class field of riders: With Balou Rubin R he took third place in the very fast Speed Challenge, just behind winner Bertram Allen (Quiet Easy) and John Whitaker (Lord of Arabia). Aboard the nine year old Oldenburg gelding he repeated his super performance on Sunday and snatched second place in the fast competition against the clock, behind Roger Yves Bost on Record d’Oreal. „I believe that Balou Rubin R will become a real star“, Pius Schwizer said enthusiastically. As well with PSG Future he took a fine second place in the Winning Round class, this time behind John Whitaker riding Argento. It did not go to plan in the Grand Prix though. The first half of the course was just perfect, PSG Future literally flew over the fences, but thereafter three poles fell, inexplicably. The loyal Holstein gelding will now enjoy a competition break. – Next stop for Pius Schwizer: He will compete in Gent (Belgium) next week.
