Young and new horses shine in Leipzig

(17.1.2016) Pius Schwizer looks back on a successful show in Leipzig with Leonard de la Ferme CH, Electric Z, Chap and for the first time Tarioso Manciais. Three great results he achieved with Electric Z. Aboard the eight year old mare he one a class of the Youngster Cup and took a second (in the final) and a fourth place. The bay mare was also elected best young horse of the show. „I have carefully her up for several years, Electric is a real crack! – Another classification, a ninth place, he took with Leonard de la Ferme CH in the World Cup qualifier. In the World Cup on Sunday they qualified for the jump-off with a fabulous clear round, but then had to make do with fourteenth place. „I wanted to ride safely in order to stay clear in the jump-off, but the noise in the arena was so loud and Leonard got distracted a bit because of it. He is a super horse, still young and needs to learn how to cope with these things.“ – It was Chap’s last show with Pius Schwizer. The Oldenburg chestnut stallion is now returning to his owner Heiko Schmidt, just right at the start of the breeding season. A positive debut with Pius Schwizer made the nine year old French gelding Tarioso Manciais. The new couple had a nice clear round in the speed and handiness class. „Tarioso is an awesome horse with a lot of blood. I can’t wait to get to know him even better.”
