Max Hauri – a great horse person has gone

(6.12.2015) It is with great sadness to learn that Max Hauri has died On St Nicholas Day. The horse community has lost one of its greatest personalities. As a rider, trainer and horse dealer the 73 year old from the little Swiss town of Seon was well-known all over the world. He had a special feeling for horses and spotted countless top horses. Many of them made a career with famous riders. For instance: Special Envoy, Tomboy and Vivaldi became stars with Rodrigo and Nelson Pessoa, and Verdi III, Picsou du Chêne, Sixtine de Vains, Powerplay and Sibell du Gisors all were successful in top level show-jumping with their rider Pius Schwizer. „Max Hauri was a horse person to the fingertips. A fighter and a reliable friend who always found the right and constructive words, even if things did not work well at the moment!“ Pius Schwizer said, full of emotions. „I would like to to the express my heartfelt sympathy to the whole Hauri family.”
