Leonard de la Ferme CH takes victory in Ascona

(24.7.2016) Pius Schwizer enjoyed great success at the CSI Ascona. With Leonard de la Ferme CH he won the 145 cm World Ranking speed & handiness class on Saturday. He was almost three seconds faster than Alain Jufer who was second with Radja d’Artemis. Just before he had came second with PSG Future in Saturday’s main 155 cm class. In the thirteen riders’ jump-off he was first to go and produced a fast clear round. Only Jane Richard Philips with Zekina Z was slightly faster. – Also with seven year old KWPN gelding El Nino IV he achieved three placings in three competitions: After a 4th and a 9th place in the Young Horses classes they took 11th place in the final. – On Sunday Pius Schwizer was a bit unlucky. With Chellatus R he was the fastest in the 145 cm class against the clock, but unfortunately four points prevented him from winning. Same fate in the Grand Prix: PSG Future showed a great first round but unfortunately had one mistake, so they missed out on the second round. It was Belgian rider Gudrun Patteet abord Sea Coast Atlantic who was the happy Grand Prix winner. “Ascona is always a super event. And all my horses jumped very well here. In the Grand Prix I had no luck, but I am very satiesfied with PSG Future”, Pius Schwizer said.
