(27.6.2015) Pius Schwizer looks back on a successful CSI3* Ascona. With the nine year old Askaria 3 he took the horse’s first Grand Prix classification: a fine 7th place. Furthermore the chestnut mare was 4th in a 150cm class. “She is a very good horse with all the possibilities, indeed a huge prospect for the future.” This goes as well for Swiss Warmblood Leonard de la Ferme CH, a bay gelding also aged nine. He was the winner of the fast 145cm competition.
The seven year old Electric Z did very well too: This talented mare had one win and a 2nd place in the Youngster Tour. „She just need a bit more routine and strength, then she will be ready for bigger competitions.“ Balou Rubin R could not deliver his usual performance. „He was irritated by the special ground in the preparation area and also by the arena. That’s why he did never jump as relaxed as he does usually. Balou is only eight years old and still learning.” – Next show is CSIO Hickstead. An important event for the Swiss team, because the Nations Cup counts for the intended qualification for the final.
