CSI 3* Frankfurt: Young horse Cortney-Cox shines

(17.12.2017) Pius Schwizer competed at the CSI 3* Frankfurt, the last show of the year. It was eight year old Cortney-Cox who impressed a lot by achieving one third place and second place in the Young Horses final, held as a two phases competition. Leonard de la Ferme CH managed to secure ninth place in a 150 cm class. In the Grand Prix the Swiss Warmblood gelding narrowly missed out on the jump-off after a an unlucky fault in the initial round. Young German Gerrit Nieberg on the grey stallion Contagio was the only rider (out of five) who stayed clear in the jump-off. – As the season is coming to an end Pius Schwizer looks back on an intense year and has a bright outlook on next year: “I often had to fight in 2017 and was able to celebrate many nice wins with my super string of young horses, such as winning the Swiss double (National Championships and Cup final). In addition I am still amongst the top 70 in the world ranking. My horses and I are healthy and I am convinced to make it back to the top in 2018!”
